PIC Christmas tree
Organiser: Paul Gardiner
Target Audience: Teachers of technology/electronics
Venue: Finham Park School
Date: Tuesday 5:00-7:00pm 16th December
The Finham Park Christmas tree project has undergone (at last) a face lift to bring it into the 21st Century using a 20 pin microcontroller. The project will form the basis of the meeting when we will explore how to control 13 different output devices using only 8 lines by employing multiplexing. Both Genie and PICAXE controllers will be available. Those using the Genie device will also be able to explore different light display modes using the on-board push button and parallel flowcharts. The Christmas tree includes a piezo sounder for renditions of Christmas ring tones!
